Both are impressive structures though and though the rooms are relatively modern is a general old world atmosphere throughout the hotel. Schloss Eberstein is a luxury hotel and you can certainly expect the highest levels of service and comfort. The setting is suitably gorgeous, the words fairytale-like immediately come to mind, with the castle sitting on a green hill overlooking the little town of Gernsbach, the Murg Valley and the Black Forest. It also offers cooking classes, and so is quite the place for foodies. It is a a place to relax and be pampered and its Michelin Star winning food has gained a terrific reputation within Germany. As the swimming pool covers a large area it would also be possible to convert this to an alternative use – perhaps a leisure area/larger dining room, a holiday apartment or owners accommodation thus enabling the current owners flat to be used as a holiday apartment.Nestling in Germany’s Black Forest and near to both Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe, Schloss Eberstein is a medieval era stately home & castle surrounded by acres of its own vineyards. In addition there is an indoor swimming pool on the ground floor which is currently not used, this could probably be re-opened but would almost certainly require some equipment replacing beforehand. The ground floor consists of a reception area, kitchen, dining room, ironing room, self-service bar, additional guest toilets and two storage rooms. #Black forest bed and breakfast fullTherefore, at present, at full capacity the maximum number of guest beds is 25.Īll of our double and triple rooms have a private, south facing, balcony with wonderful views of the valley. We have 4 double rooms, 4 triple rooms, 2 twin rooms and 1 single room. The guest bedrooms are all on the first and second floors. The owners' accommodation covers the entire top floor of the hotel and consists of 3 bedrooms (1 en-suite), an office, a bathroom and spacious open plan living room/dining room/kitchen. Every town and village has its own Bürgermeister (Mayor) and there is a sense of pride and tradition which is refreshing in this day and age. The seasons are defined – snow in the winter, sunshine in the summer and lovely warm, fresh days in spring and autumn. The pace of life is a little slower and the people are genuinely warm, friendly, helpful and completely honest. Living and working in the Black Forest is idyllic. It is easily accessible to guests from around the world – around 7 hours drive from Calais for guests from the UK and within easy driving distance of several airports, the nearest being just 35 minutes away. The village is also a popular destination for walking holidays. The B500 Schwarzwaldhochstraße (Black Forest High Road) is just 5 minutes away, this is a popular and very scenic tourist route through the area. It was purpose built as a hotel around 40 years ago and is ideally located for exploring both the Black Forest and the Alsace area of France – the French border is about 30 minutes drive. It is in a quiet location but still close to the village centre. The hotel stands in an elevated position overlooking a beautiful village of around 1500 inhabitants and surrounded by the hills and forests of the Schwarzwald (Black Forest).
